Plants in the Chicken run but NOT TO EAT!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi, just read the post, my darlings too have attacked most /all the plants that had any colour, but they don't seem to like the mint patch. After an initially attacking the budlia now leave it alone so if and when we ever get any sun I should have some colour in the garden. Another idea we've tried which also seems to be working is planting the border plants into containers and then putting them on shelves on the trellising, high enough so they cant fly/jump up and 'get' them!!

Mine have a couple of kids garden chairs to perch on too. Back to the original post though - whatever mine don't eat, they dig up anyway. The only thing that's survived in their run is the cherry tree, although they ate most of the leaves and all but one cherry which was saved by the fact it was frustratingly just out of their reach.
