Mariana was looking rather off colour this morning and her vent looked red and was protruding a little. I thought "uh oh, is this our first prolapse?". So, Ian and I donned some surgical gloves and Ian held her with her vent towards me and I very gently prodded her vent, to see if it was a prolapse. She promptly laid a huge soft egg which I VERY gently helped to ease out. She's now right as rain!

 

I didn't panic and I felt very proud of us for having the knowledge to 'fix' our little girl

 

And, it's all thanks to the knowledge I've picked up on this forum!

thanks, in the early days something like that would have really made me panic so I was dead proud of the way we dealt with it.
