Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Dotty and stripey both look to have very red wattles and quite big red combs today, they haven't before and fizz who had no comb on Monday when we got her definatley has one now.

Do they mature that quickly, does that mean we are not far off the prize already?

What age do they useally start to lay?

Did you get your Missp from omlet? If so as we had them on the same day I think they must be from the same batch.

no not omlet chooks, they wouldn't deliver me as too far. I think we may be getting close with 2 of them, I will go and check thenest box every 5 mins .

My newies are 16wks old now. Had my just after they came into lay, so I think in a few weeks time I'll be like you, hovering over the eglu door!

Get ready two of mine recently started laying and both had first egg exactly 4 days after the first crouch..

ours had hormonal flushes for weeks but the two in lay have a "special" red ! that sounds strange doesnt it but the red combs and wattles are a definate different red from the other four layabouts practice reds . does that make sense ? oh ive had a hard day and my brain is mush ....
