IrishM
Our girls have been in the run for six days and tonight we let them loose in the garden. They had a grand time dust bathing and eating bugs. And returned right away when offered some raisins. Please view the photos at this link if you wish: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AZsmTlm2btWLr4&emid=sharview&linkid=link5 PS If anybody can tell me what kind of bug we found in our garden I would appreciate it. I have never seen anything like it before!
FruitandNutCake
OMG When I first saw that bug I thought it looked like a preying Mantis. And thought " I hope they are not wild around here!" not realising you were in the states! Are they wild where you live, or is it someone's pet that escaped??? Egluntyne
Super pictures. No idea what the beastie is. Looks like something from Star Trek.
Snowy
That's not a bug, it's an alien!!! Haven't a clue, sorry But absolutely gorgeous pictures - especially the ones of your gorgeous little girl playing wth the dog - either that dog is just pretending to sleep and ignore the attention, or it's oblivious to it. Very funny! Oh yes, the chickens Love them dustbathing, chicken bliss Lovely pics
hilda-and-evadne
PS If anybody can tell me what kind of bug we found in our garden I would appreciate it. I have never seen anything like it before! From here it looks like a bird spider except that it seems to have a couple of legs missing. Its camouflage seems to be to have a body that resembles a bird dropping. I am so that you have space for a Buff Orpington!
Ange1
Oh your chicken darlings look so little! Too cute! I was going to ask what sort they were, then saw you list them in your signiture ELizabeth I agree about H&E's verdict, I thought they were from more warmer climates though? Must be this 'scorcher' of a summer we're having!
FruitandNutCake
I thought it looked like a spider at first, but counted the legs too! Aren't bird spiders poisonous?? Or do they just eat birds??
