Cyber Chook
Aaagh, I've just spent about an hour trying to re-locate the posting where someone kindly supplied the name of a good internet essential oils company? StephB, was it you?! I could probably just look on the internet and find something myself, but a) this one came recommended, and b) I'm becoming slightly obsessed, and it has now become extremely important that I find out EXACTLY which one it was and REFUSE to be defeated Thank you in advance Caroline
Yolky
I bought mine from Neph, not sure on the web addy but if you search neph it comes up. It has been on offer for £3.99 for 50ml and that includes postage, I was pleased with their swift service. Hope that helps.
alison
Hi, I am interested in using citronella to keep flies at bay, what do you do with it, or how do you use yours?
Cyber Chook
Oh thank you Yolky for the great speedy response, I'll look that up now. BTW, I have sort of semi-pinched the name Peaches from you for one of mine - I had it on my original possible names list, and have been trying out different names for two of them over the weeks until I find names that suit Alison, from reading tips on here, what I've been doing is I sprinkle a few drops on to the poo trays and sometimes in the run, to keep the flies and smells at bay. Some people recommend adding about 10 drops of citronella and 10 of eucalyptus oil to a spray bottle of water and using that around the place too, which is what I'm going to try next. BeckyBoo
I was going to say the same too - Neph Aromatics - http://www.neph-aromatics.co.uk/?referrer=urgentclick.com I get mine from them and either sprinkle a few drops neat into the poo trays and the bedding or else add it to water in a sprayer and spray the inside etc as required. alison
cyber chook and Mrs Bertie, thank you for the tips, I have ordered some from neph! Flies don't seem to be a nuisance today, but last week they were in abundance. I just need to find bokashi bran now and then I will have everything I need. Thank you
Yolky
Cyber chook peaches is such a good name for a chook, makes her sound really sweet even though she is a bit of a cross birdy lol. Alison, you will notice such a difference when you start using the bokashi, it really takes the smell away
Cyber Chook
PS: Alison, Wiggly Wigglers do a special deal on monthly deliveries of bokashi, which I think work out about the cheapest I could find when I looked around for it.
