Hello,

Please can anyone tell me easiest way to clean the cube run. Does the back of the run detatch. Ive tried searching the forum but cant find out. Was hoping for an eglu but OH thinks they are too small and to be honest space is a bit tight so cube gives bit more room on fixed flat spot I have.

There is no easy way unless you have Mr Tickle's arms or have done the door conversion (see the sticky-threads at the top of the forum list).

 

Alternatively hoist it up on it's wheels and move it out the way, then clean

Thanks, Ill have to look at one and work it out. In meantime will hang from trees to stretch my arms.

I always move the cube and roll it out of the way. I find this is the easiest way to clean.

Ill just have standard run so shouldnt be too traumatic. Had a look at the conversions but wont have room in the area Ive got to do anything clever like that. Steve's one is neat.

Had a look at your gallery. Your hens are so pretty and the cube looks great. Cant wait but Im still clearing 20 years of branches and garden trimmings from the end of the garden. Found some great compost underneath and a lot of frogs!

How do you cope with bonfire night? Its really loud round here.

Steve genious. I just realised the end piece is in two pieces so conversion is something even I could do I was really fretting about it.

If you didn't have enough room to roll it back out of the way is it possible to lift it? How heavy is a cube with run/extra run. Is this possible?

With a run extension it's okay to move with two people on reasonably flat ground. Though chickens dig holes.
