Nicola O
Just started another round of worming, but I'm having real trouble with Doris. I always use the grape method and Doris is normally just as eager to eat them as everyone else - until there is flubenvet on them. She eyes the grape suspiciously and won't touch it, and backs away from it as though it is some sort of unexploded bomb . I have to keep her in the run on her own as someone else would snaffle it, but she just won't touch it. I tried mixing a pinch with a small amount of sweetcorn today (another favourite) but again she won't go near it. I have a small glass bottle (about 10ml I think) with a dropper in the top - can I mix a pinch or two of flubenvet in water in this and give her a little squirt each day - I can't think of any other way of getting the wormer into her, little madam Nicola
Egluntyne
I don't get on with the grape method either! You could rinse and dry some sweetcorn and shake a pinch of Flubenvet over it and then feed it to her. This is how I dose my girls usually. Nicola O
Tried sweetcorm and she wouldn't touch that either. It's strange, she will go mad for grapes and sweetcorn any other time - it's as if she knows....
