westhamunited
Were getting 2 bantams in about an hour to introduce to our 1 chicken. We've been reading about how to introduce them but all the advise is about adding 1 chicken to a flock not 2 bantams to one chicken. Is the advice still the same and if not what are the differences? Also we know that you need to put the bantams in a separate run from the chicken to start with... should we put the bantams into the eglu which will be their permanant home and have the old chicken in the temporary run or visa versa? Please let me know asap Many Thanks
mrs chook
I think two introduced to one should be ok, are they younger? I guess they'll be smaller too! There is a thread about introductions, but I cannot add it to this look in locked forum area I think. Slow and steady. I don't suppose your older girl will mind being rehomed for a while if it means the bantams have more space. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.
