Busybird
The kids and I were enjoying lunch outside. The chickens obviously felt left out so came over and started pecking the children's toes . Chestnut jumped up onto the bench to inspect DD's plate. When DD reached across to lift her down (they are NOT allowed on the table at mealtimes) Chestnut made a grab for the piece of quiche DD was eating and ran away to enjoy it DD was so shocked Chickens will be confined to run during outside mealtimes from now on

Spike-J
Kow exactly what you're talking about- we had the same problem a while back, (child dropped food, Dora picked it up and ran quickly followed by Healey, quckly followed by the dog. Dora then came back and flew up to the table to help herself. Dog looked very put out- he's not allowed to do that) It's now the only time ours go into the run as the child wasn't impressed at sharing his dinner!
