She should have been called lucky!!

Recommended Posts

We have a student with us this week on work experience and she has the weirdest chook tale I have ever heard

A few weeks ago she was doing work experience on a sheep farm and they routinely have the local battery chicken farm out to spread waste on the land for fertiliser :? Nothing odd in that you may think

The lorry collects the waste from the bottom of the sheds by sucking it up to the container on the lorry which then goes to the appointed field where the waste is then sprayed on to the land - lovely :vom:

A few hours later the farmer went out to do a routine walk round inspection and imagine his surprise when wandering around the field was a lone battery chicken :shock::shock::shock::shock:

She must have got into the waste area under the batteries been sucked out and then sprayed onto the field :shock::evil::shock::evil::shock:

Amy (the student) has kept her as they already had a couple of chickens at home and now Betty has been intergrated and is doing fine apparently

I would have called her lucky

:shock: Astounding! I'm so pleased for her!

I've met the Tamworth Two :D:D They live in Kent!

Hmmm what can we call her

The chicken farm is not in anywhere but it is near quite a few places, Leadburn, Waterheads, LaMancha and the sheep farm is just outside Peebles :?

Suggestions please 8)
