Mutrix Farmers
I can't even say winningist!! At work at the moment we are trying to "deliver our contribution to the employability agenda" and "develop action plans" for a variety of things while at the same time write a load of "strategies" to support the "Corporate Plan". What happened to just getting on with the job??
Egluntyne
Try using a broad brush technique whilst having a thought shower. It makes a terrible mess.
Couperman
Mmmmm, we get all sorts of emails and posts at work which are FULL of jargon, I wonder how the bosses don't realise a) how ridiculous they sound, and b) that the whole workforce is laughing at them as they try to "cascade" information, "facilitate operations" and "think outside the box whilst at the same time pushing the envelope" WHAT??!! Mrs B Sounds like you work at the same place as me At the end of the day they are winning hearts and minds so it's a win win situation Well luckily I 'hit the ground running' with buzzspeak like a 'fast-track fireball' and I didn't 'spin my wheels' whilst adopting 'blue sky thinking'. I had to 'draw a line in the sand' in the end so that i could see the 'big picture' and not miss out on the 'big ticket items'. I did 'have to 'play some tunes' before I was 'aligned within the band' and able to see what was on 'the radar screen' My boss used to use all of those and more on a regular basis. He thought he sounded really hip and managementy, if he only knew what a complete prat he sounded. He was the laughing stock of the office. Kev.
