Home Farmer forum record reminder

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I know lots of people on here are also members over there, just a reminder in case you had forgotten (like I had  ) they're trying to see how many members they can get on line at once tonight in about half an hour, so if you're a member see you over there at about 9.30! If you're not then you could always sign up - it's a growing forum (scuse the pun) and seems as friendly as here! :D

Home Farmer - it became an Omlet "must have" a few months ago, it's basically a magazine for people who wish they could do the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall thing, you know, live off the land, make your own butter and cheese, be self sufficient with veggies and animales, smallholdings and allotments and stuff. Basically for people like me who would love to but are unlikely to ever really be able to afford it. So I subscribed along with others and there's an online forum which is small but growing, an more importanty it's friendly too! Having checked out some other forums they are NOT friendly at all, so it would be nice to see this one do well,

Hopefully this link will work

Might see you over there

Hi Mrs B,

I just registered, it seems nice and cosy :D

I did see a familiar face on there whilst I was registering but then she was gone...and I was all alone. :(

I hope it takes off as like you say there are few forums with a pleasant feel to them.

You can always spot a seasoned 'elsewhere' forum member when they first come on here. They always come out fighting before realising it is OK to be yourself :D

It's a bit like driving, in a city centre unless you drive in an aggressive fashion you don't get anywhere, (or it certainly feels that way), but if you drive like that out in the sticks, you still don't get anywhere.

I tend not to post on P.P and RC because whilst they have a lot of useful info they sometimes get narky, I really can't be bothered with online backbiting.

This was the first forum I had ever been on so whilst there was a bit of a learning curve, it was a gentle one and not a bad place to learn forum etiquette.

I have of course accidentally offended people.

The fine team of mods we have here always keep things as they should be.

Kev.
