4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Omlet has sent me two run convertor panels but they are for the same side of the run If you are standing facing the Eglu the panels are for the right side of the run (if that makes sense).

 

We have tried to fit the panels onto the Eglu run but it is not a good fit and we need a left side panel

 

Problem is, I let OH take the box to the tip this morning before I realised the panels wern't right , also I have had the convertor for nearly two weeks but only just got round to doing something with it

 

Do you think Omlet will take one of the panels back without the original box? (and where on earth do I find a box big enough for the panel ) I only need one panel replacing so hopefully I can just send one of the panels back.

I think you should be ok - the goods arent 'fit for purpose' (official term I think!) these are harsh words to use as I am sure that the people at Omlet are very reasonable - being not 'fit for purpose' just means that the goods cant be used for the purpose intended and you dont need the original packaging to make a 'complaint' this is clearly just an oversight by a picker/packer so you shouldnt have any problems.

Will they deliver the new panel and collect the old one at the same time? If so, you could re-use the new packaging.

I've only ever found Omlet to be really helpful and accomodating - just give them a call on Tuesday. It wasn't your error, so I'm sure it will be resolved no bother.

Omlet were very helpful when I phoned them on 25th August. They said they would send out a replacement run convertor which I should fit on the run and make sure it was OK. Then I could put the faulty convertor in the box, give Omlet a call and arrange to have it collected.

 

I arranged to have the convertor delivered on Friday 5th September as I needed to take a day off to sign for the delivery. I waited in all day and no convertor arrived Someone was at home all day Saturday and still no delivery My holidays at work are set as I work at a school. I had to persuade someone to cover my shift on Friday and I have to make up the hours I should have worked, so now I have an extra 8 hours to work on top of the 38 I normally work in a week I will not have holidays now until Christmas.

Will give Omlet a call tomorrow to get the couriers phone number, then I am going to arrange a day and time at my convenience for the convertor to be delivered.

My replacement run convertor has arrived. It was left outside the front door sometime today.

 

If I ever order anything from Omlet again I will not be taking a day off work and hope the couriers leave the parcel in the garden.

The replacement run convertor fitted perfectly so I phoned Omlet yesterday to arrange collection of the faulty one. I was told that it wasn't worth sending it back, the courier costs where more than the convertor was worth

 

I am going to use the convertor as a very expensive one metre cloche in the veg garden With some fleece or netting attached it will give protection to my Strawberry plants

 

I did wonder if maybe OH could do something with the panels to make them fit the Eglu run to give me an extra extension piece

 

Oh, and I didn't say anything about the courier problem after being told to keep the first convertor.
