josephine77
This evening I went out to look for Winnie, my pepperpot and found her still in the nest box - I was a bit worried and thought she might be still trying to lay her egg (she normally lays anytime between 12 and 4pm, and I'd been out all day. Then it occurred to me that she could be sitting on her egg, so I reached under her, and sure enough, she was, and she was so warm! I evicted her from the Eglu feeling very guilty and I've closed the door now until bedtime, so she's now free-ranging with the other two and seems "normal". Does this mean though that she's now 'gone broody' and will do the same thing tomorrow? I'm at work all day tomorrow, so won't be there to take the eggs away! Thanks, Jo x
