Egg Hunter
We have our first egg!!! Gloria layed her first egg at approx 11.30 this morning - I'm so proud of her I had bets on Delilah being the first as she looks a couple of weeks older than Gloria but little Gloria has beaten her to it. She made sure everyone knew about it afterwards - I didn't imagine chickens could make so much noise If any of the neighbours didn't know about the chickens they will do now! I'm dying to tell someone and my other half is at work so I thought I'd log on to share my eggcitement. He's going to be so annoyed he missed the big occasion. Al
Yay! How are you going to eat it?
Egg Hunter
I'm not sure yet but you can't beat a good fried egg in my books and as we had a second egg this morning at least there won't be any arguments on who gets to have it. Or we could have a very small omlette but it seems a shame to mix them up. What has everyone else done with their first egg? To be honest, I feel like putting it in glass display case rather than eating it
Ain't Nobody Here
We fried our first (tiny) egg and cut in into 4. Not much each but it was lovely .
Al
With our first 2 eggs we made tiny soldiers and soft-boiled the eggs. As the eggs were so small it was hard to judge when they were cooked just right and one was slightly over while the other was a bit under cooked, but still, it was very special.
