Scooby
Was wondering whether my new littlies would like some treats as well as their growers pellets? They looked very interested earlier when I fed some dried worms to the other girls
BeckyBoo
Hi there, my 13 week olds have been in with the big girls for a few weeks now so they've been eating corn grapes cabbage mealworms, you name it, and they've been free ranging with them too so you can include slugs, snails, worms and the remains of my courgette plot! A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I am confused about giving them pasta. I was advised to avoid pasta and bread (something to do with it swelling in the stomach?). Does anyone else have any theories on feeding/not feeding wheaty treats? BeckyBoo
Mine don't get bread although I know some people give theirs small pieces of toast and marmite as a treat. But mine eat pasta, in fact they would climb over hot coals to get to it! The girls have layers and growers available - the chicks were originally in a yellow eglu which I put inside the walk in run of the big girls. Now they all sleep in the cube but the little chicks still tend to eat their pellets from the eglu so we've left that in there with their grub with growers pellets in I take it yours are in for a nice day tomorrow then!
