Hen Watch
I buy Dodson & Horrell (Non-org) Pellets 20kg - the price has risen 45% since I first bought the chooks 16 months ago. April 2007, £5.25 January 2008 £5.95 April 2008 £7.25 (big price jump) Last month £7.65 I think this is a reflection on the general rise in animal feed, poor harvests/weather, and hense the rising prices of bread, dairy products in the shops. I expect it will go up even more soon.
sids mum
we are payiing 7.99 for a 25kg bag of organic layer pellets from either Mole Valley Farm Shop near Frome Somerset ( my new favourite shop) or from countrywide ( nr Melksham but they have branches everywhere)

Spike-J
my most recent bag of organic layers pellets was £14.10 previously 12.50 3 months ago for same 20kg bag in same horse feed suppliers. Think shipping cost to NI doesn't help...
Gallina
I paid £12.29 last week for a 25kg sack of Grain Harvest layers pellets (non-organic). The price goes up every time I buy them.
Blackrocksrock
I paid £7 something last time for Dodson and Horrell Layers pellets. I tried mine on organic pellets but they didn't like them! Silly girls! When I bought those, they were £12 something.... Mine were the same with the organic ones and love dodson and horrell and I pay about the same as you do. My Hens cost me £7.50 each for black rocks back in end Feb/Beg march

Janty
I buy 4 x 12.5 kg sacks of layers mash with bokashi from wiggly wigglers for £25. It sounds like a lot but it works out on a par with the organic layers mash that I was buying in 20kg sacks. I also buy two lots at a time to cut down on postage.
