Well I haven't got a clue what fruit leather is but RC stands for River Cottage.........Hope this helps and I hope somebody else can enlighten us both as to what fruit leather is..................

Fruit Leather is a dried fruit puree, cut into strips, and used as a snack!

 

There is a recipe for fruit leather in the latest RC cookbook - Preserves by Pam Corbin

Aaah, thank you very much Lesley!

 

I've met Pam Corbin, she's one of my sis-in-law's oldest friends!! Must be the same Pam, what she doesn't know about jam isn't worth knowing - used to own Thursday Cottage, made wonderful jams & marmalades etc. Must get a copy!

 

And maybe another of the RC books as advertised .... Oh dear bad idea to go & look...hubby's looking too & suggests Handbook 1 Mushrooms (as we have a selection in the garden & don't know if they are edible or not!), and Pam's one and I like the Garden Produce/Self Suff one too.......

 

The blackberry & apple leather is on one of the pages you can view on Amazon - although not big enough to read unfortunately! Will have to wait for the books to arrive - DDDDDH is ordering now as I type! Love him to bits!!

 

Books are an investment and do not go off...!!!

Hmmmm, well I hope you have Crocs. And have subscribed to Home Farmer. And Grow Your Own, both excellent magazine must haves from here

There's loads on here, I can't remember them off hand (probably trying to block them out in case they add to my own personal credit crunch )

 

by the way, the fruit leather reminds me of the fruit winders that the kids have, I'm considering making some up, and rolling it into spirals to see if mine will eat it!
