hillfamily
...........to buy some layers pellets and ending up reserving 2 black rock chooks who will be ready for collection in 3 weeks Well at least it's solved the problem of all the space in the cube, what to do with the last of some unspent birthday money and will mean that for a few weeks my sad and empty eglu will have a purpose and 11 chooks is a nice amount
Mrs Frugal
Congratulations, Pam!! They'll be lovely additions to the flock . 11 is a good number (she says, wondering how she can persuade LSH that 11 would be good ).
Egluntyne
I knew the title would be a " and came back with" type of post. How lovely. Names?
hillfamily
Got to think of some names................ so far DS would like a chook called Hattie or Attilla DD hasn't thought of anything Last year I wrote a list of possible names and so far, those not yet used are ........ Ruby, Rosie, Margot, Dolly and Jean (already have a Twinkle - Dinner Ladies TV program) and Primrose (although I want to save that for a Buff Orp ) We've had and lost a Ginger, Annie and Dixie although I might have to reuse Dixie as she was with me for such a short time and I always wanted a Dixie Chick At least I have 24 very very very long days to think Any more suggestions will be gratefully received

mostin
In my previous life B.C. (Before Chickens) I would have had a similar shopping problem with shoes or a new bag, but now in my new life I dream of getting and Orpington instead of Prada mules, or maybe a Cream Legbar blue egg layer instead of that silk Monsoon bag. I much prefer my new life, covered in chicken poo! I love these Omleteer shopping trip stories, I just can't wait until one day maybe I have room for more ladies and I can go on naughty shopping trips. abwsco
I'm just glad that no chicken feed shops near us sell chickens as well - lol Our coop is big enough for 15 - 20 girls! Looking forward to seeing the pics soon
