Single hen

We had the first of (hopefully) many eggs today after waiting six and a half weeks

We are still waiting for the maternity test although I think it was 'my' wonderful Mabel and Hubby claims t'was 'his' Lola. A huge 77gm chuffer (had to run to Argos and buy clever scales to be as accurate as the rest of you!). I am at work tomorrow so will have to trust hubby to report any goings on honestly

 

I feel like a proper chicken keeper now!

We hoped for a repeat performance today, but no . Poor little lady must have run out of puff (or push!). My daughter will have carbonara tonight with our precious egg..... while I watch .
