Single hen

Our "newbies" are now 19 weeks old and they are still choosing to sleep in the large side of the rabbit hutch.

 

They are all free ranging everyday together now without any real problems.

 

Should I take away the hutch and bung them all in the coop or wait until they decide to go in themselves?

I would try them tonight in the coop and if all is well in the morning then well... There you go!

Well, hubby wasn't too keen on the idea and as there was some pecking when they were in the run together I've just let them decide themselves, so they are in the rabbit hutch again for the night.

it took 3-4 weeks to amalgamate my lot (some 3 months ago).

the 2 'old' girls sleep with 1 'new' girl now, while the other 5 (3 of which are banties, 1 a cock) pile into the other eglu.

I think if they are happy in the daytime with little or no trouble, its prob ok to go for it.
