i have had a phonecall , all of a sudden from SEL CAGES . they have told me that i will get a brand new coop tomorrow !!!! now , numerous emails were ignored but as soon as i mentioned forums .... but be warey !!!! lots of people will promise .. will let you all know if this pans out ... and the replacement does its job .... or leaks .

Very strange...but a good result nonetheless We have one of these 'cos I cant really bend to clean an eglu and hubby thought these were a good alternative(and cheaper!) We dont seem to have any of the problems though..but having said that I'm not sure its gonna last for that long,not like an eglu...! the wood is a lot softer than I thought it would be and the pesky doors swell in the wet,but have now got a shower curtain so that should sort it Good luck and keep us posted please.

gav waited in all day yesterday and the coop didn't come ... he was not a happy bunny at all . by luck the rain was so bad the golf course was closed or he would have been a lot crabbier , see if it arrives monday .

it's monday night and after another day of waiting .... still no replacement coop ... even after sending an email pointing out that gav had taken the day off to wait in on friday for it coming with no result we have had no email , phone call , nothing ! the water is still pouring into the coop when it rains which is a permanent pest , all the plywood parts are now about "goosed" ( for want of a much stronger "word" ) spread the word . anything by S.E.L. is not to be trusted as far as service and after sales go .

an email from adam at select has arrived !!! they are not sending a new coop !!!!! i am furious !!! he told me on the phone i was to get one the next day !!! is this a verbal contract ? the fact that gavin waited in all day on friday , taking a day off work for it ! then me waiting in on monday ! blinkin' cheek !

Why not threaten them with the small claims court.

 

Write everything down in chronological order so that you don't forget.

 

Your phone bill will give evidence of calls to and from them.

 

Rotten of them to behave this way. Maybe a mention on a few other fora will spread the words and lose them a few sales.

audrey is now dealing with S.E.L. for me . she is the friend who has the shop we bought it through (it was a favour , she deals with their products but not coops ) tom (her hubby) came over tonight with our dog food and had a look at the coop and was not impressed . at the time we hadnt heard back from sel . i have just checked my email and found a very blinking cheeky email from my arch enemy adam at sel "thank you , i can now sort out a replcement for you have a nice day" if adamski had not told me on the phone that i was getting a new coop next day delivery , please be in , is this ok for you ? blah blah , we would not be in this situation suggestions like "take it back to the shop" aye right !! etc didn't help either . not only that ... i thought he said "he could no longer deal with me , only shops " !!!! until it came to a cheeky email it seems . well he got a good one from me back still dont trust them at all so will wait and see . might sue and get a cube that'd sort em

the new coop has arrived . it's now blowing a gale , freezing and pouring . unlike last week when we had great weather but adam "change my mind like my pants " has at least got me a new coop so hopefully the girls will be dry and cosy soon or at least when the wind and rain has stopped . bet they don't get this weather in jamaica , unless it's hurricane season
