Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Came home from work yesterday, checked for eggs - only one from Maisie.

 

Later that evening, making scrambled eggs for the boys, thought "hmm, that's odd, I'm sure I got an egg from Maisie today ". Couldn't find it anywhere . Looked high and low then decided I was officially losing it .

 

This morning, put my jacket on to go out. Guess what was in the jacket pocket? Yup, Maisie's egg (thankfully intact) .

My OH often wears those cargo trousers with the pockets on the legs. He puts the eggs in these and often forgets about them. Anyone willing to make a bet on how long before he gets an eggy leggy?

I was astonished when I looked at the egg skelter yesterday to find we had only had one egg on Saturday: thought the hens had gone on strike or something. Asked OH about it....he found 2 on the windowsill and one in his coat pocket

the peg basket is a favorite place for me to safe house mine.... I do blame the fact I manage to mis-lay eggies on my pregnant status....
