You're trying to get the residues out of the hen's system before you can eat the eggs, and by putting them back into her by feeding her the eggs you are extending the time before you can eat them. TheCoop Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Our Babs is currently on Baytril and she has been on it before. The first time, the vet said 1 month 'egg ban' and that's what the vet said this time around. "Ooops, word censored!"ody said anything about never eating her eggs EVER again. I think that's crazy! Anyway, we suffered no ill effects so we'll be back on them as soon as we can. It's a crying shame that we have throw so many eggs straight in the bin though....
