Carol U
If you do each of them really thoroughly with the powder and inspect them carefully, they should be OK. You could also treat their new home with 'Defest' (the aviary variety) for the first couple of weeks. You can buy it in most pet shops. Egluntyne
I would move it well away or destroy it. The redmite don't live on the birds during the day, they just feast on them at night, so the chances are reasonably slim. Try not to transfer any yourself, on clothing or gloves etc. Red mite can travel a fair distance in search of "food" and can live for long periods without feeding, so best not to have the old infested coop in any way close to the new housing. Good luck.
