Scramble
I know they are only pekins so they wont lay very often or very much, that's not why i wanted them! But, the occasional little egg would make me very happy... As they are only just 19 and 21 weeks, I 'm not expecting them to lay this side of Christmas (?) they don't lay in winter do they? So, what I really want to know is when can I start excpecting eggs from the little darlings? So I can look out Thanks in Advance, x
little jerry
Hopefully they will lay soon. Our oldest started laying 1 week ago. She is about 23 weeks and we have had 6 eggs now. I still get thrilled when I see an egg. Our younger one is 19 weeks and is only starting to get a small red comb. Ive been told that they dont always lay so much in winter, but so far , so good. Janty
I got my first pekins last year about the same time of year that you got yours (if you follow). They started laying in the February time so you may have a bit of a wait....sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

So February time... maybe if I ask them they'll lay some eggies on my birthday, which is the 19th Thank you all! x
Egluntyne
I'd say early Spring....but they might surprise you before then with a bit of luck.
hils78
I've had mine since may (8weeks old) and I haven't had a single egg. Feeling very despondent about the whole affair! They are living in the lap of luxury, the picture of perfect health, couldn't be tamer - in fact too tame that they get in the way. I have a bunch of free loaders
