Janty Posted November 2, 2008 Share Posted November 2, 2008 I have just been putting my latest delivery of layers mash with bokashi into the big tubs that I have in the garden. I started pouring the mixed corn with bokashi when my hand slipped and I poured about a quarter of a sack on the floor. Within seconds every chicken was scoffing and within minutes the lot had gone. Yesterday they were free ranging as I was cleaning them out, normally they are busyt tripping me up but suddenly I realised all was quiet and they were nowhere. I found them in the open shed where they had pecked holes in the sack of mixed corn and were helping themselves . The little.........angels. I explained to them that I hadn't had to put the food in metal bins as no rodents had found it yet and that I expected better behaviour from them.
