poachedegg
OH popped home from his office to pick up DS's laptop as he is doing some work for him straight after college. I am at home still in gym stuff, doing housework. OH goes to put laptop in car and comes back and shouts me to come out and look and in next doors front garden are their 2 young (but fat!) chickens! Now we live on a new build estate and the front gardens are open plan with borders - ours is a extremely quiet cul de sac. I spend most of my day in the kitchen, garden or computer which is at the back of the house, so if OH hadn't come home/gone back to work then, we would never had noticed them! Put my crocs on, grabbed a handful of corn out of the utility and 'persuaded' the chickens back into their garden. Next door are not the tidiest of people and lack what I would put politely, attention to detail, but even so, was suprised to see their chicken set up. They look to have converted their shed and enclosed an area around it with flimsy chicken wire up to about 6ft. The actual garden itself is missing a 6ft fence panel and is blocked with a house door on its side, which takes you onto a small wooded area and then a road! The 'door' to the enclosure is basically the chicken wire rolled back - this had holes in it and would easily be moved to get under it - to close it we rolled the wire onto some hooks........not ideal, but that is all we could do. OH (who was wearing his suit) and I did have a giggle doing it and is our good deed for the day - but wouldn't say they are in the most secure surroundings. .........Oh and I DO believe in fate! Egluntyne
Well I never. Maybe they will upgrade to a cube when they see your set up.
