Raven2902
Hi ya I know this sounds daft, but my chooks love sparkly things, whether it's nail varnish to my jewellery. And I was wondering if there is anything out there that I can hang in their run for Xmas, that won't fall to pieces and will sustain the 3 girls peckings. All the decorations I've seen so far, they'd wreck in seconds. I've got to include them in the festivities. Love, light, laughter and blessings Jules
farrowy
I put up a bit of tinsel (out of pecking range) for my 2 girls last year http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1923512&l=c1a6b&id=603395354
stoice
I'm going to put up solar powered LED fairy lights for my girls. (well, I;ve told my OH it's for the front garden for Christmas - which it may have to be - but then after Christmas it can go around their run for the rest of the year)
Mutrix Farmers
OH and Brother laughed when I mentioned decorating the run. The Eglu is sited next to a small holly sapling (no berries yet) so it's sort of festive. I'm going to make Christmas porridge for the girls - containing all the treats they love which they normally get one at a time. Can't hurt to spoil them once a year! KAZAROO
Hi yaI know this sounds daft, but my chooks love sparkly things, whether it's nail varnish to my jewellery. All the decorations I've seen so far, they'd wreck in seconds. I've got to include them in the festivities. Love, light, laughter and blessings Jules I made plain pop corn garlands last year- it means it doesn't matter if they eat them and they can enjoy stretching for them in the restrictions of the run- but it does mean that now when I empty the contents of the packaging in my lush shopping the girls try to get in the compost bin for the scented pop corn they pack the gifts etc with.... Sandychick
Arrrgggg! It's decoration overload around here. There is one of those houses in my street which is decorated and flashing from top to bottom - I hate flashing lights and tinsel !! Mine will not be having any decorations. I am mean. I intend to turn them into 3 little scrooges for the festive season!! Bah, humbug.
maddie
How about using those giveaway cd's you seem to get all the time? If you tie a piece if tinsel through the middle and the secure around the run, hanging from above. I have a couple of cd's hanging in the run all year round. I thought the girls might like to look at themselves occasionally!! Maddie
Raven2902
I'd be jumped for the popcorn as I was putting it into the run. Cd's the girls have had them, made them very vain! Got some crystals and am going to hang them at the moment, or I may go into yuletide overload. My next questions is what can i put in the chameleons tank? I put some natural decs up today and he's going for it. Love, light, laughter and blessings Julesxx
