batty hen
I was away last weekend and OH decided to get rid of a few leaves and got out the lawn mower to "hoover" them up. Lawn mower picked up a stone, shot it at the conservatory door window which then shattered into a gazillion pieces all over the lawn. What did you do I asked anxiously over the phone last night. "Oh it's OK, I got out the hoover and hoovered the lawn . . ." Now this is a revelation as OH has never been known to hoover the house. See chickens do change people's lives for the better Anyway, on my return I checked and he had indeed retrieved every tiny spec of glass so there was no danger of the girls eating it! Phew! Ain't Nobody Here
So he DOES know how to hoover . No excuses for indoors now, methinks . Bless him, though, he obviously loves the girlies very much .

blackgold
I have done that twice....... Once with the mower and once with the strimmer... Hopefully next year my new exbatts will be grazing the grass and I wont have to cut it so much LOL Sue xx
Plum
I'm trying to imagine the state of your vacuum cleaner this time of year.
Olly
Oh bless him ... I take it he didn't make the connection between chickens scratching in borders and stones in the lawn, and realise it was probably their fault in the first place!
