Chook n Boo Mum
Hello Great cakes everyone. I'm planning to make this lighter fruit cake at the weekend and copy MS's snowflake decoration as well because I have no imagination!!! http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/snow-capped-fruitcake?autonomy_kw=snowflake&rsc=rf_result7 Alison If you haven't made yours yet, I thoroughly recommend Missuscluck's quick & easy Christmas cake. I use it a the basic recipe & add spices & other fruits, nuts etc. It is simply yummy! I've made it as a gluten-free version, boozefree version with apple juice for the Cubs, and a traditionally boozy one. It's been baked in 8 inch tins, baked bean/tuna tins and muffin/fairy cake/yorkshire pudd trays, with equal success! Will try & find the link & post it in a mo.... Ain't Nobody Here
Here's our cake . I've gone for the "more is more" rather than "less is more" approach . I was trying to use up all the icing .
