We chopped a tree down in the garden today and dug up quite a bit of the roots, and just left it all out for them....their faces when they came out were a picture! They were climbing all over it, digging up the soil to find goodies etc....hubby kept going out and turning over the logs to reveal new creepy crawlies for them. They were very happy chickens! I keep unearthing ants nests with very sleepy ants in - a gourmet hors d'oeuvre.
