Snowy
My new sewing machine arrived yesterday. Tried it with some normal sewing - wonderful! So I got out some fleece that I've been meaning to make hats with. Tried the overlocking and monogramming stitches. Perfect! It finished these OK. I was going to add a name to the scarves as well, but that's when the machine packed in The thread keeps getting tangled under the feed dogs. I'll have to ring the supplier tomorrow In the meantime, I think the boys will be happy! Edited December 19, 2008 by Guest
Chook n Boo Mum
Oh Snowy, how disappointing for you, but wonderful results so far . My nephew would have loved that fabric last year, but now he's into Star Wars lego apparently !! My "adopted" machine snagged up 3 times when I was doing the laundry bags, each time on a twin's name ( I had 2 sets of twins within that batch I made ) - I was beginning to think it had a "twin-thing" as all the others worked perfectly before and after those ones (which worked perfectly eventually, so I expect it was just a coincidence ) Hope the suppliers can shed some light before the Christmas period, as not doubt they or the the manufacturers will close for a month (or so it will seem if your machine is sitting idle!!) Fizzle Knit
How frustrating! Hope you can get it sorted out quickly. The hats and scarves are great. Does your big son want them as well
Snowy
Oh gosh, what a technonumpty I am! Rang the supplier who suggested that I'd threaded it wrong Oh come on, I've spent the last 23 years threading sewing machines, how could I be doing it wrong?? Guess what ... they were right Bloomin' new fangled computerised machinery!!!! Now I've recovered from my embarrassment I am very happy it is working again and the scarves now also have name tags on Chris I did offer to make a set for big son but just got one of those withering looks that only a teenager can give!
