Hi

 

My heritage skyline (Gorgeous Gloria) is crouching, her comb is getting bigger and I think she is getting ready to lay. We have had only one egg sometimes two for a while now as the others have started to moult etc, but now I am getting a different egg which could be hers or could be Doris starting to lay again.

 

What colour do your Heritages' lay if they are not blue?

One of mine that was meant to be a blue layer lays pinky coloured eggs.

well there was a pinky colour egg there this morning but Emily (gingernut ranger) was the only one up and off the perches this morning - so I think it must be her starting to lay again.

I have two crested girls, which are the same as skylines, one lays china blue eggs and the other lays olivey green eggs.

Booooooo......... she laid her first egg yesterday and...........it wasn't blue

 

it was pinky colour.

We have one who lays a pinky beige egg as well - still taste good though!

Our Skyline, Ace, laid her first egg yesterday - white but with a pale pink tinge, same again today - just wee ones. Shame they're not blue but at least we can tell hers from all the others.
