Not so long ago I remember when you packed your bags, grabbed your passport and tickets, locked the house and set off for the airport. We are off tomorow and today I've had to....

 

Pay all my bills online

Program the telly to record lots of stuff over the break

Print all my tickets (flight, car hire & park entry)

Check in for my flight

Print my boarding passes

Changed my Yahoo groups membership to Web only

Programmed the Aga to go off then come back on the day before I get hom

Turn down all Mums storage heaters

Turn down the hot tub

Put the heating on and set the thermostat to 10 (I KNOW I've not had it on when I've actually been here!!!)

Download a map for the Sat Nav

Plant loads of wheat on my Facebook farm (it takes 3 days to grow!)

 

 

And on the manual side - write notes for the cleaner and pet sitter, clean out the chooks and make up a batch of chicken feed!

 

It's all gotten very complicated - only thing left to pack is my laptop!

LOL we only get a Saturday paper so only 1 to cancel (we come back on the Friday - to come back on the Sunday would have left me wrecked for work Monday).

 

Not Ocado but the petsitter will bring our essentials and get my bread dough out of the freezer etc. I guess I might need to hit Waitrose though (just because it will get me some alone time!!)
