OH pestered the council again today about the allotment. They told him we are now third on the list for our preferred site! There are over 100 plots and last year there were about 40 people before us so won't be long now!

 

So excited!! Now need to practice catching chickens so they can come help with the digging.

Cool! I am sure the hard work of last year will have put some people off and they won't return to their plot in spring so quite a few may come up then

Will be starting some stuff off in greenhouse this weekend. Just need to tread a fine line between what I can accomodate in the garden to avoid lots of waste! Wasted a lot of plants last year because overestimated what would fit in a few pots (and you can get an amazing amount from a few pots). I do have my linkabord beds coming though so can fill those up if allotment doesn't materialise this spring.

 

I've dug out all my veg books and will be definitely be having a look at MoreVeg as recommended on here.....

we got an old plastic dust bin off freecycle to grow our spuds in last year, that freed up space in the veggie plot and it worked really well.

 

hope you get your lottie soon
