After a flurry on the phone this morning my has arrived! (I'm at work and the courier was all set to deliver, luckily he knew my home town well and was able to deliver to my mother's about a mile away)

 

OH being the boring, sorry pragmatic sort says he'll collect it on Saturday when he's down fixing my parent's emersion. So no photos until then and I have a friend visiting this evening so I can't even dash down to see it....

 

But yay it's here, prepare yourselves for photos and the great naming ceremony!

It's perfectly normal to have deconstructed and reassembled the eglu 4 times since this morning isn't it? That's about all I can do with it at the moment as we're still 2 months away from building the run, although the design for the Demesne is becoming more ambitious all the time, in my head at least!

 

Neighbours from Mam's are all excited for me and have joined the egg queue.

 

I find myself staring at the eggs in shops and muttering about having to buy them. & I've already signed up to be a home people can visit in Dublin. Talk about getting ahead of myself.

I put mine together and part lots when I first got it...

Still no hens here but today I ordered a , now I really need to find a breeder! Still getting 3 hens from a friend in mid-May but since we decided on a 20ft X 5ft run and people are already lining up for eggs I figured what the heck, get another eglu... sterling is really good for us at the moment, at least that's my excuse.
