No it means the child will have to start at one school and then move to the other.

 

I've seen this happen and the parents were so grateful they didn't even make a fuss about the cost of uniform - the first school (10% GCSE passes!) had a blue blazer and blue shirts and the second school (60%) had black blazer and white shirt. The mum said the cost was a minor thing compared to her son's education (he ended up in my tutor group too - lucky boy!)

Yes, he cannnot start untill he has a statement written by the new LEA. It then has to be approved by us and then the school has to see that they can meet his needs. Im that they can (they could meet ones on old statement), i don't know what we will do if they say they can't or how long it will take.

Claire/Adam are primary and in a different LEA so I suspect they do things differently.

 

Claire good luck. Adams a good kid and it seems sad to have to keep him off school when he wants to go.

Thanks Bron. I'm trying to keep him busy so he doesn't get too bored. Hopefully we will have the new statement soon and can get things moving.

Personally I'd see if I could get the girls in the other school. If I were in your position I wouldnt hesitate

 

I know its not the schools fault but it does drive me mad and would never put another child of mine there
