Ok, so, I've got my two lovely eglus, and my 6 lovely girls. When I suggested getting a second eglu, hubby asked if a cube might be more appropriate if I wanted (quote)'Lots of chickens'. I said no, as I really felt that two egus would be fine for our needs.

Now, a week later a cube is on ebay and the question has been asked about whether we should get a cube, and sell the two eglus.

The cube would actually take up less space than the eglus, but we would have to intergrate the two flocks first. ALSO, it would then leave me itching to get a couple more hens. Eventually.

I am genuienly unsure about what to do. I love my eglus but keep thinking the extra space in the garden we could recaim, would be good.

Whilst I dont expect you to tell me what to do, I would really appreaciate yours thoughts and input. Thank you.

:? I'm not the right person to offer a suggestion as I kept the eglus when I bought the Cube. :lol:

However, I had already integrated the 2 within a homemade run, so all the hens were together already.

I could really sell the Eglus now as all 9 sleep in the Cube!

My answer would be to get a Cube, with either extensions or have it within a large run, & sell the Eglus. But only if you feel happy about the integration. :D

its hard really to tell someone else what to do as everyone's preference is different :D

We went from 1 eglu, to 2 eglus and then onto the cube. I personally wish we had kept the 2 eglus in our walk in run as I dont like my cube (its huge! and cumbersome and backbreaking to move in our walk in run)

I can see the flip side though - those eglu runs are a pain and having the single cube with an attached run may suit you better as you have more head height in the run making it easier to clean.

Decisions, decisions! :think::lol:
