surferdog
Lidl have just got in their new seed packets. 47p for a large pack and 28p for a small pack. Lots of unusual varieties too. I got Sugar Snap peas, Black Salsify, White radishes, silverskin onions and red splashed lettuce seeds all for about £1.50. I can also recommend the yellow french beans and yellow patty squash which I grew last year in pots and will grow again this year from last year's leftover seed. Only downside is the cultivating instructions aren't great (although you can use a good veggie book to get instructions) and they aren't organic but even so a bargain! Saronne
I totally agree! I've bought seeds from Lidl before and they're a definite bargain . Germination has been very good and there is usually an interesting selection to choose from. Like you, I bought the yellow wax beans and the patty pan squash. I also bought their Hybrid cucumbers - can't remember the name, but they're small and I grow them outdoors at the allotment. They've always done really well and the only sort that seem to do well for me! Saronne Paris Nicole Dorothy Germaine Jordan

surferdog
Poet, I got mine from http://www.moreveg.co.uk/. They do a squash surprise packet of six mixed seeds for 90p. Most of their packets are 50p for smaller quantities of seed, so you can get a good selection or try things you've not grown before for minimum expense. They also have some really unusual varieties and lots of organic seeds. Just handle with care - I always seem to justify a larger order than planned by making it up to the free p&p point. And the fact that they take Paypal, so if you sell on ebay they are practically free! It would be rude not to buy....
