These were in nest on opening this morning. Laid by 1 of 2 but as Greedy laid another good egg at 10 I am assuming it to be big fat head chook, non laying, I also suspected the ones laid approx 2 weeks ago, 2 again, about the same size were hers. (this assumption made because of her looking hunched up like a softee, coming, for a few days before).

sandyhas3chucks
there were 2. interesting plum you thought is was big I have had 2 single ones(well those found) that were 3 times the size & when I cut the 1st one there was maybe 2ml fluid in center (giving meds to chooks gives you new perspective of amounts ) Also the texture was dif. the flesh was more sort of string like like beef if you understand, this was more compacted, sort of looks like black pudding the way those odd bits are in it. going to take it with me to the vet as he doesn't know what I am talking abot

Guest
I sometimes find pink lumps in the poo tray, I just assumed they were these 'lashes' I've heard talked about. They look like small lumps of pink bubble gum/chewing gum. Am I right, are they nowt worry about?
sandyhas3chucks
yes you are right, nothing to worry about there are some other pictuires on ref section, though to me some just look like the chewing gum egg shell expelled much later after a softee. It is thes big fleshy things I jut want to know more & I know someone asked a while back what they looked like inside. this was difernt less strigy meaty!
