MadMitch
I decided yesterday evening that I was going to look into purchasing all the back issues of Practical Poultry that I dont have (quite a lot 49). Wow £184, definately dont have that much. Had a look on ebay and managed to get 26 of them for £26. Bargain. Saw in this months mag that issue 3 had sold for something like £67 on ebay, theres one on there now currently at £15.
Guest
how on earth can it be worth £67??? we subscribed to P.P. for a year but found it wasn't really aimed at us, more at people who breed and show chickens. we now subscribe to 'grow your own' and 'home farmer' and we got a big bunch of 'country smallholding' from freecycle. have you tried putting a want ad on here asking for back issues, there's a forum especially for asking for stuff- "I've got a good home..." or something.... Haven't asked on here yet but I will do. I think even the magazine lot were shocked at how much it went for. They think it is because it is the only one ever to have a green logo (all the others are red). I already subscribe to Homefarmer, I really enjoy this magazine as well. Need a couple of back issues of those as well.
