I would like 2 Cream Legbar or Skyline type hybrids and 2 French Marans or Copper Blue Marans to add to my flock. I have kept chooks for a couple of years but apart from a Garden Poultry and Moorland Farm I dont know anywhere close to Stockport that I might be able to get these chooks. Any suggestions welcomed. Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Hi Jaime I got 2 moorland legbars as well as an Amber Star and a Columbian Blacktail from Moorland Poultry last year, they are basically a Cream Legbar crosses and both lay lovely turquoise eggs they are just off the Leek Buxton road, and do have other breeds in but you would need to ring up and check. I have also been to Garden poultry but I dont think she has any coloured egg layers - (Somebody is going to correct me in a minute!). I might give Chelford Market a look - I'm off work in March so will be able to go then. I was hoping there might be a small scale breeder closer to home that people might know about or even someone who has hatched a few too many eggs - but they would need to be 18 wks to go in with my other crowd.
