Lizzie
Hi I have been giving my girls Zolcal D as a calcium supplement which seems to have helped them tremendously. Is there a time limit to give them this ? If yes, is there another product that they could have in their water as a daily supplement. Many thanks in advance for any advice given Regards Liz
Christian
I think that Zolcal should only be used for a short time as too much calcium is also bad for them. Make sure they have good quality layers pellets/mash and maybe some limestone flour mixed in every now and then.
The Dogmother
As Christian said, it only needs to be used if there is a problem with weak shells. I use and recommend LifeGuard tonic as the best I've tried. Again, you don't need to use it constantly; I use it mainly in the winter and when they're moulting.
