Hi

I have a ex batt who appears to be moulting, she is fine in her self and eating and drinking normally but is looking really tatty and she almost looks faded!

Could she be moulting, I thought this genrally happened in the autumn, any advice anyone?

I have wormed her - just in case!

Yes Sara, they can moult at any time of year. One of mine is and looking very ragged

 

As long as she is eating and drinking, she will re feather soon.

We had an inspection this morning and she appears to have some new feathers starting to come through, so not so worried now!

Ivory has just finished moulting, she now has a new set of smart looking feathers and has started laying again

 

I was surprised when she left lots of her feathers in the eglu in the middle of December
