Found just the yolk and white in the droppings tray this morning. I have been getting softies for a week now every day. Quite concerned when I couldn't find any shell/membrane. Daisy didn't look too good and after examining her I could see something inside her vent. I managed to gently pull it out intact, it was the membrane. After about 30 mins Daisy was running round as normal.

 

I have been giving her limestone flour but am still getting softies. And after finding just the yolk, am concerned that it will happen again and I will not be able to get it out.

 

Any other suggestions as to what I can do to stop the softies.

Why not add a dollop of cod liver oil to her pellets. It contains Vit D3 which helps with the metabolism of calcium.

I regularly give them cod liver oil and I've given them limestone flour, but am still getting softies. Hopefully, it'll sort itself out.

Well done for getting the membrane out safely . Maisie laid softies for a 2 week period recently. Cod liver oil and limestone flour were administered - not sure if it was them that did the trick but she got back on track and has been fine ever since.

I gave mine zolcal d in their water for a few days when Daisy and Joy laid softies and looked thoroughly miserable about it. It seemed to sort them out and they are fine now and laying well again .

you could try the homeopathic remedy calc c. inexpensive & nothing to lose. 1 tab 2x daily for month.
