Mrs Frugal
Crab apple jelly? Delicious! My reputation for making alcoholic drinks from just about anything is already bad so I'll admit that I've just collected some from the garden, chopped them up, added some sugar and topped up the jar with brandy to make Crab Apple Brandy for Christmas! You're too young for that Martin so there are some non-alcoholic crab apple recipes here - http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,crab_apple,FF.html . Mrs Frugal
I wasn't going to make any more then I found half a bottle of brandy and couldn't bear to see all those crab apples going rotten on the lawn. Good excuse? OK, sorry. I just love making boozy things!!
