fluffyknickers Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 My mum came round this morning and Nugget was in the cube and she (my mum) said she wanted to go out and check the nest when Nugget came out. So my mum goes round and opens the whole and does a little scream (she is a bit of a townie and not into animals etc!) and says "ITS HUGE", I say to her dont be silly just pick it up. My mum picks it up then shouts "I cant do it its HOT" and put it back! Laughing I went round and saw it was big so took it in the kitchen (have toay it was VERY warm) and weighed it and its 80g! I am well impressed with my darling as its only her fifth egg - is that big for only just laying or a standard size? Last night I did give them a bowl of bokashi, layers pellets, drop of ACV, poultry spice all mixed up with hot water - would this help? Falkor Posted March 19, 2009 Share Posted March 19, 2009 Well done Nugget. It think anything over 73g is classed as a Very Large egg in supermarket terms so it is impressive! Not sure if this is normal or if your yummy supper helped but I am sure it didn`t hurt! Does it make it onto the large egg leader board?
