bekibutton
Adorable, and the legs are very cute! I might make one for my nephew - he knows me as 'Be'i, chi'ns' which of course means 'Aunty Becki who keeps chickens'. Obviously

Chook n Boo Mum
I'm just about to knock one up in felt to see if it would work for an Easter children's craft morning I'm doing next week...I have emailed to ask the lady's permission as a matter of courtesy! I hope it works & she says yes...! Been for a beetle round her blog...wow is all I can say, and DD will be getting one of those cute little skirts I think! Chook n Boo Mum
Ta da! Here they are...... on the left we have Mrs Chickummyjig in a fetching shade of red and on the right the biggest chick you ever did see with sparkly pipecleaner legs! It wasn't until I turned her in the right way that I realised the red one has one leg on the wrong way round and they aren't exactly level...oh well she won't be scratching the ground any time soon, so she can live with her wonky legs! Tania, the designer is a lovely lady & has said yes I am welcome to use her pattern for my little darlings...I hope they are able to sew...perhaps I'll shrink the pattern & get them to make smaller ones! Plum
Its great but I think if you tape his legs together you can cure splayed legs. Well done.
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I am lucky enough to have a patchwork fabric shop within easy distance (Hometown in Rochester High Street for any Kent crafters. It's brilliant for sewing, felting and quilting stuff as well as a few lovely homewares and a stack of amazing craft books). The owner had shown me the tape measure fabric a while ago so I went back to get it today. HOWEVER... it's been discontinued. So if you find it - grab it. It's been selling well for years and I've seen it on the web a lot this year but the manufacturers have decided to s"Ooops, word censored!" it. Rubbish eh? So I got the last of it in my local patchwork shop. And now I know not where it can be got. Gah!

I was going to tootle into town later & could ask the fabric shop if they have/have had/could get me some>... I've just tried to google it & got so many different tape measures, you wouldn't believe!! Thanks in anticipation, Sha x

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
There's no selvedge on it. Call Marion Haslam at Hometown on 01634 838880 or email hometownquilts@hotmail.co.uk she sold it to me and she would probably know.
Plum
Well I went round all the traders at the show today - about a dozen but none had the fabric. A few knew of it and the general feeling was it was out a couple of years ago. Sorry I did see ribbon on a few stalls that had a tape print on so that could be another way of doing it? but that fabric was fun.
Chook n Boo Mum
Thanks everyone, I'll give her a ring/email tomorrow. I banned everything with a screen today for the children so had to comply myself too! We were aided by several power cuts over the day and fantastic garden weather, so I haven't missed it too much!! Chook n Boo Mum
Plum, you are a star! I quite like the red one, may have to send for a piece & see what I can do with it - apart from chicken legs of course! I have a friend in USA, so perhaps she'll have a look out for me.... or see what the p&p is, when I have a bit of time & am not dozing off - too much fresh air today! Once again many thanks, Sha x
