Feeding advice for bantams (one broody, one moulting)

Has anyone converted the mesh under the back of the cube into a door yet?

 

I've been thinking about having a go for a while.... but im sure some clever henthusiast has already tried????

we have pecking issues and food issues, I'd like to be able to get food at both ends of the run

I was going to do a back door under the cube as my chicken freeranging door but my WIR didn`t end up the way we initially planned.

 

I had planned on cutting the back panel and using the eglu run door hinged with run clips and and velcro ties.

Sounds like a good idea. It's screwed to the frame though I think, so I suppose it would mean cutting the weldmesh which may weaken it.

 

Why not divide the run lengthways to seperate them, then you could do a side conversion if you have an extension. Lauramurph has done that but guess you would need two run extensions to do that.
